This position requires travel throughout the state of Texas as well as ongoing weekend and evening work to support instructors and course implementation, including during summer, spring, and fall professional learning institutes and enrollment deadlines. Purpose

 

 

 

 

 

Deploy innovative, scalable professional development and instructional coaching and support programs to improve and monitor implementation of OnRamps.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Essential Functions

 

 

 

 

 

 

Work with supervisor to manage complex logistics and productions for in-person and virtual, multi-day professional learning events at UT Austin other sites including defining goals and objectives, forecasting and budgeting, reservations management, communications, scheduling, and other details. Create road maps for evaluation, plan milestones, and manage timely completion of deliverables to ensure milestones are reached. Support the ongoing implementation, facilitation, and enhancement of the OnRamps coaching cycle with the goal of providing direct and targeted assistance to Instructors by maintaining, updating, and improving the coaching menu available for Instructors in Canvas and utilizing other virtual coaching media. Develop and lead projects relating to instructional support, professional development, and in-person and virtual coaching under the direction of Assistant Director for Instructional Innovation and Curricular Implementation using the OnRamps project management methodology. Apply standard evaluation procedures to analyze data and monitor, evaluate, and document course, student, and Instructor outcomes through recurring issue tracking and reporting. Utilize data to apply principle of continuous improvement to special projects relating to Instructor support and professional development. Support the development of a facilitated network of OnRamps Instructors by leveraging social media and technology to provide just-in-time support via online, telephone, and in-person communication and lead virtual conferences. Support the Assistant Director of Instructional Innovation and Curricular Implementation as assigned, including support to special projects such as OnRamps to OnRamps and the Senior Instructor program and other projects that increase opportunities for Instructor and peer mentorship and collaboration. Enhance and maintain systems for tracking and monitoring OnRamps Instructor growth through the coaching model. Work with course staff to develop and implement interventions as needed. Design and use data-driven approaches to ensure ongoing program improvements. Utilize adult learning and cognitive learning science theories to contribute to and assist with the expansion of online professional development modules and courses.

 

 

 

 

 

Licenses:

Class "C" Operator's Driver's License. Applicant selected must provide a current three year Driving

Record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License

Required qualifications

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bachelor's degree education, psychology, or other content area. Proficient in Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) or other LMS. Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to engage multiple stakeholders with decorum and tact. Ability to communicate technical information to lay audiences using a respectful, client-focused approach. Demonstrated understanding of high-school teaching and learning. Five years clinical or teaching experience at a high school or college level. Demonstrated experience with logistics. Demonstrated ability to teach oneself new skills and technologies. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

 

 

 

 

 

Masters or Doctoral degree in education, psychology, other content area or closely related field. Experience in instructional coaching or developing curriculum, preferably for online delivery. Experience developing and delivering professional-development initiatives for high school teachers. Experience developing and maintaining online professional learning communities for students and/or teachers. 2+ years teaching experience in advanced courses or closely related content area at a high school level.

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement

System of Texas (TRS), subject to the

position being at least 20 hours per week and at least
